Corrections policy

We work to be accurate. When we make a factual error, we correct it as soon as we confirm it.

We do not quietly change published facts. Each correction appears at the bottom of the story, says what was wrong, and gives the date of the change. Small fixes to spelling or grammar that do not change the meaning are made without a note.

If a story is corrected in one language, we correct the other language version too.
